From 35226c85885ee7dd302155f8811b0586257b1057 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Window Maker Date: Mon, 25 May 2026 11:51:25 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] WPrefs: send SIGUSR2 to wmaker after saving settings The Wayland event backend stub for send_wm_command was a no-op, so WPrefs settings changes never triggered a reread in the running wmaker. Now sends SIGUSR2 to the parent process (wmaker) on "Reconfigure", causing wDefaultsCheckDomains to run and apply changes immediately. --- WINGs/wevent_wl.c | 8 +++++++- 1 file changed, 7 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/WINGs/wevent_wl.c b/WINGs/wevent_wl.c index 2c6fbe2..b1e438c 100644 --- a/WINGs/wevent_wl.c +++ b/WINGs/wevent_wl.c @@ -17,6 +17,8 @@ #include #include +#include +#include #include /* ------------------------------------------------------------------ */ @@ -373,7 +375,11 @@ static void wl_keysym_convert_case(void *ectx, WMNativeKeysym sym, } static void wl_send_wm_command(void *ectx, const char *cmd) -{ (void)ectx; (void)cmd; /* TODO: signal wmaker via PID file */ } +{ + (void)ectx; + if (cmd && strcmp(cmd, "Reconfigure") == 0) + kill(getppid(), SIGUSR2); +} static void wl_set_window_hints(void *ectx, WNativeWindow w, int minw, int minh, int maxw, int maxh, int bw, int bh)
